Athletics Canada and Canadian Masters Athletics have partnered to host the Masters Road Race Championships starting in 2015 in the 5k, 10k and Marathon. These events are intended to showcase road runners in Canada of all Masters ages, celebrating both sporting excellence and active participation in road running, providing significant visibility for the event organizer and Masters athletics in Canada and meaningful competition for athletes. These championships provide organizers with the opportunity to host a national championship with a view to bidding for a Canadian Open Road Championship
Through this partnership, Athletics Canada is assuming hosting support responsibilities for Canadian Masters Athletics. Specifically, the SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will benefit from formal recognition as a national championships, enhanced promotion and visibility as well as the support of Athletics Canada’s Road Running Coordinator leading up to and during the event, to ensure compliance with applicable rules as well the provision of Canadian Masters Championship Medals for the rights holders. All participants in your race will be eligible for championship medals.
